Q. How do I use the call number of a book to locate it in the library?

Answer

Let's use call number GN357.S54 2003 as an example.

Use the first letter of the call number to determine which floor of the library to go to.  This book would be on the 2nd floor.

Call numbers beginning with
2nd Floor           A - H
3rd Floor      I - P
4th Floor      Q - Z

Read GN357 alphanumerically.

Read .S54 as a decimal. (i.e. .54 comes before .6)

2003 is the year the book was published.
