Q. What does the “Status” message in the library catalog mean?”

When you find print books, DVDs and CDs in Melvyl (the library catalog), the "Status" refers to availability of the item.

Available = On the shelf

Checked Out = Already on loan to another patron

Not Available = Not in circulation for some other reason (missing, being repaired, etc.)

On Hold = A requested item is being held for pickup
