Do UC Merced faculty have access to collections when visiting other UC libraries?

Answer

UC campus libraries do have processes in place to provide borrowing privileges to faculty from other UCs. This process often involves presenting a photo ID and proof of status as a faculty member.

Please note that some libraries on UC campuses (e.g. law libraries, special collections) may have additional restrictions or arrangements that need to be made prior to a visit. It is recommended that faculty contact such libraries prior to a visit to ensure access.

If you do borrow print items directly from another campus, you can return them to our Services Desk and we will return them via our Interlibrary Loan delivery service.
